The Christ Child (Hall 27)
One of the most widely recognized names from the Spanish Baroque period is Francisco Salzillo. The son of a Neapolitan sculptor, he was born in Murcia in 1707. When his father died, he took over as director of the workshop, which continued to grow, with an emphasis on religious themes. He is known mainly as a sculptor of processional figures for Holy Week and of small figures for nativity scenes carved in the tradition of Neapolitan creche makers.

In my pastoral sociology subject in Basic Cathetical Formation in ICAM, San Carlos Seminary Complex. My teacher Sister Isabel Tatlongbayan taught us acculturation is applied in the Catholic faith. Acculuturation is the process of cultural change and psychological change that results following meeting between cultures. Effects of acculuration can be seen in at multiple levels in both interacting cultures. Is a direct change of one's culture through dominance. Over another culture through military or political conquest. At the group level. Acculturation often results to changes culture, customs, and social institutions. Noticeable group level effects of acculturation often include changes in food, clothing, and language. At the individual level, differences in the way individuals acculturate have been shown to be associated not just with changes in daily behavior, but with numerous measures of psychological and physical well-being.
